The online site of destocking Vente Privée, which has been created in France ten years ago and has been a big success since then, is opening for the first time in the USA today, in partnership with American Express. The functioning will be the same than in France : the sales are only for members (you become member by being sponsored by one of your friends) and the products can be sold 70% less expensive than their normal price.
Last year, vente-privee.com made a benefit of one billion dollars, 80% of which were made in France.
The first sale will be products from the brand Paul & Joe Sister, presented by the website as a “French brand which perfectly illustrates the contemporary parisian chic”.
Thanks to American Express‘s expertise, the website will be able to provide its partner-brands with post-sale analysis of the audience.
